About the Group
This group therapy program is designed to help parents who are navigating the challenges of raising children with complex needs and trauma.
It’s inspired by tools like EMDR’s Parenting Wheel and the Group Parent Empowering Protocol (G-PEP), both of which focus on supporting parents under stress.
The Parenting Wheel, created by Ana Gómez, uses simple analogies, metaphors, and visuals to explain big ideas—like how parents can help their children regulate emotions and make sense of their experiences.
The G-PEP builds on this by teaching practical strategies to improve emotional balance, better understand your child’s needs, and develop stronger parenting skills. It also incorporates ideas from other approaches, such as GTEP (E. Shapiro) and DIR (Leeds & Korn).
This program is all about helping parents feel more equipped and confident in their role while building a stronger connection with their children.
Why Join Us?
Connection: Meet other parents who understand your journey.
Support: Share and hear experiences that foster empathy and understanding.
Tools for Growth: Learn skills that can help you navigate daily challenges that come with parenting and improve your own mental well-being.
