Emma has over 25 years of experience as a Mental Health Therapist in both Canada and the United Kingdom.
In counselling individuals and couples, she utilizes effective therapeutic strategies, modalities, and interventions that she individualizes to the needs of the person she is working with. With couples and relationships, Emma uses the Gottman Method Couples Therapy in therapy work.
In her work, she values creating a safe space for individuals to feel supported, talk through their current situations, sift and sort through the emotions they experience and come to a place of clarity with regards to their hopes for the future. She loves being part of the journey of becoming “unstuck”.
Individual adults and couples will see that Emma prioritizes helping them to talk about what it is they want and how it translates into living life authentically and in alignment with their core values.
Emma enjoys supporting other clinicians, front line healthcare providers, and first responders looking for a safe space to process the heaviness of their work and find a healthier balance.
In working with Emma, you will see she aims to help you:
Create a safe space for you to talk through your current situation, sift and sort through the emotions you experience and come to a place of clarity with regards to your hopes for the future.
Move from a place of surviving to thriving,
Feel more energized and alive,
Feel more in control of where you are headed,
Feel more confident in your choices and direction.
Take continuous small course corrections to get you to where you want to be.
A little note from Emma:
“I believe even the biggest of journeys start with the smallest of steps and that there is always something you can do to change your current reality… so long as you are willing to experiment with things you may have previously considered not for you and take some steps. There is always something that can be done to move forward.
I like to keep my life and my advice simple and straightforward with as much fun and humour as I can, sharing what I have learned on my own personal and professional journey with other people in the hope that they may take one piece of information away that will help them to become the best and happiest version of themselves.”
“
Never assume you are stuck with the way things are. Life changes, and so can you
